Spotting

Dammit, I am spotting a bit a few days earlier than I thought my period was due. 

This sucks.

Spotting doesn't always mean you're not pregnant. Sometimes spotting just means that a fetus has implanted in the uterine wall, burrowing into some blood vessels. It looks like a period or some spotting, but instead it's due to a pregnancy. Don't lose heart yet!
