How Was It?

The kids had a GREAT first day of school.  Maddy and Ben even made new friends.  I am so glad for them.  They love their teachers and classmates.

I must admit that I feel much better now.  Since they are happy with the school, that makes Mommy happy.

I was so anxious about the whole thing, losing sleep, constantly on the mind, but we are good.  I am so pleased.

First Day At The New School

I don't like it.  I don't like it one bit.  I miss their old school.  I am horrible with new things, fear of the unknown.  I want to go back.

We left the Catholic school because it just got too expensive for our budget.  The tuition went up really high for this year, so we just couldn't swing it.

I don't like the fact that the kids have to stay in the schoolyard before they can go into the school.  I am so worried about Benny wandering off and nobody sees him.  Yes, there is supervision, but I have to drop them off pretty early, so they have to be in the schoolyard for quite a bit.  Yuk.

I want to cry for them.  Or is it for me.  Maddy said she was very excited to start the day today.  Benny too.  I am so glad that they know they will adjust, but what about me.  Will I adjust?

Can't wait to hear about their first day of school.  I will tell you all about it.

My New Toy

I got my Blackberry yesterday.  It is awesome :)

Getting Really Organized

You know how a while back I was discussing paper vs. the palm pilot for a planner.  Well the palm is working out fine, but honestly, why have a palm, phone, and ipod all separate when you can have it all in one?

It's called the Blackberry pearl.  This is going to be my new love.

Craigslist

I am obsessed with Craigslist.  I read it every day.  I enjoy the free section, the barter section, the jobs section (for Hubz), and missed connections.

I bought two things from Craigslist recently.  A Coach wristlet and handbag.  I love them, good prices too.

I am now selling my Ipod on Craigslist because I want to get a Blackberry.  I have had a few responses so far, so it's good.

Do you read Craigslist?

School Supplies

Have you ever heard of someone so lazy that they order their kid's school supplies with Staples ONLINE?  Yes, I did that.

I will tell you it made it wonderful, easy, quick and hey, you get it in one day at your doorstep.  Can't beat that.

I am glad I did it this way rather than dragging the kids out to Staples and try to concentrate and find everything.  Just the thought of that made me cringe.

So, try it, you may like it.

The New School

Hubz, the kids, and I had the opportunity to visit the kid's new school on Friday.  It was good.

The principal gave us a tour, showed us the kid's classrooms, the gym/cafeteria, where to pick them up and drop them off, and the music and art room.  It reminded me of my elementary school, but I guess it's because it is the same school district that Hubz and I went to.

I loved the smell of it, the look of it, it brought back good elementary school memories.  I like that they have new life skills every week that they teach the kids.  I like the fact that they group the desks together in fours.  I think the kids will be very happy there.

The only thing I don't like is that I have to drop the kids off at different doors.  I don't like that.  Who will I stay with on the first day of school?  I guess Ben.  I guess Ben and I will stay with Maddy for a little while then go over to Ben's door.  I don't know.  That concerns me.

Eh, we shall figure it out!

One...Two...Three Times

Once a month I make awards for the students at my work for high grade point average or creativity in hair coloring, stuff like that.  Today was the day.

So I start to make a them, realized I messed up and had to start again.  Got finished all of the awards, thought that I got the bad ones, and frigin shredded the whole pile.  I came back to my desk to find it empty.  What a moron.

So I had to do them again.  For a third time.  They are good now.  Sheesh.

What a way to start the morning.
