New Product Alert

Up_lighting

I just have to say, this is one of the coolest products I have tried. New from Clinique
(my fave) Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator.

It's a must have. Use it either over foundation or on bare skin.  Works great either way. Go on over to the counter and give it a try. Or order it HERE.

Sickness Prevails

This past weekend it all started with Benny.  The kids were at MIL's for a sleepover (Hubz and I were at World Cafe Live seeing the English Beat), and Benny throws up in the middle of the night.  Fever, runs and all.  Saturday, Maddy starts with it.  FIL and MIL start with it.  Yesterday Hubz starts with it.

Why haven't I gotten it?  I am just waiting.  Maybe it's those Flinstone vitamins I have been taking.

Groundhog Day

You know that movie Groundhog Day with Bill Murray?  How his day is the same every single day?  My life sure feels like that lately.

Nothing exciting, same shit different day, boring.  This sucks.

I guess I am just in a funk or something.  I am constantly bored, but just don't know what I want.  Don't feel like doing anything, just laying around.

This time of year I am usually raring to go.  Nice weather, beautiful days.

I just don't get me.

I think I need to go make an appointment with FAB.

Weekly Weigh In

Here is the weigh in.  I am stuck at only 10 lbs lost at 150 on the scale.  This is frustrating.

It has been a week now and no new weight lost.  I have been eating between 1200-1300 calories a day and 30 minutes on the treadmill.  Not really sure what I can do to boost things here.

If you have any advice for me, I would greatly appreciate it!

OH Confrences!

Today Hubz and I have to go to a conference for Benny.  We are meeting with the School counselor, Psychologist, and Speech Therapist.  I must admit, I feel like we are going to be ganged up on.

I am nervous.  What are they going to tell me?

Wish us luck!

Gettin Busy

Funny story...

Hubz lit candles in our room and it looked pretty romantic.  MJ comes in and says, "Dad, why are you lighting all these candles?"  Hubz replies, "To make the room smell better!"  She accepted that.

We put her to bed, and think all is quiet.

Hubz and I were "gettin busy" (if you know what I mean), Sammy is scratching at the door and next thing you know there is a knock at the door.  MJ asks, "Mom, what are you two doing in there?"  I reply, "Mommy and Daddy are having a talk."  MJ says, "It's not about getting rid of Sammy is it?"  I reply, "No, don't worry, now go back to bed."

10 minutes later, another knock on the door.  "Mom", MJ says, "Is it about something that is going to make me sad?  Cause I am really worried!"  I reply, with a laugh, "NO, now go back to bed!"  She did, FINALLY.

Two things, I am thankful that we have a deadbolt lock on the door, and next time we will wait til the kids are asleep!  Tee hee.

Weekend Update

Had a busy but great birthday weekend.  What did I do?  What did I get?  Hmmm.

I got a cool tabletop fountain from my mom, Hubz got me two yummy smelling Yankee Candles, Sis got me the New Monkees cd (I had it on cassette a long long time ago, now I have it on CD and LOVE it), and mascara and eyeliner from Clinique, FIL and MIL gave me 50 bucks.  I had a great weekend!  OH and my mom made me my favorite One Egg cake, with coconut on top, YUM!

Then on Saturday, we helped my Sis and her Hubz move into their beautiful, fabulous, awesome new home.  I love it and can't wait to go back to hang out.  That was a busy day.

Yesterday, nothing exciting, which was nice.  Went to the grocery store (being on a diet is frigin expensive) then Hubz and I had steaks on the barbee and beer for dinner.  Very nice.  You are probably saying, "Beer?  Steak?  and you are on a diet?"  All in moderation, my dear readers, all in moderation.

Hope you had a great weekend too!

Birthday

Well, it's my 38th birthday today, and I don't feel any older LOL!

The Weigh In

It's Been 20 Years

It has been 20 years now since I have graduated high school.  I can't believe it.  20 years, sheesh.

I have come to find out that they are going to have a band reunion in October.  Yes, I was a band geek.  I played alto saxophone from junior high to high school.  I was pretty darn good back then, too.

I want to go to this reunion in the worst way.  Band was one of my absolute favorite things about high school.  And yes, band camp is just as crazy as you think.

I am just too excited about this.  Hoping to see old friends that made quite an impact on my life.  Neat.
